I think "oh my crap" doesn't even begin to explain the emotional roller coaster Matt and I have been on the past few weeks. I could be cruel and draw this holy crap news out and make you all wait through a long and boring post but I won't, frankly because I don't have time to write a long post. So part one of the news is Matt and I will be welcoming sapling number two to our family in May of 2008! I'm 9 weeks pregnant now and feeling every bit of it. My first appointment is November 5th in Dallas with the lovely Dr. Speight who took such good care of me during my pregnancy with Deals. That may sound strange, I mean why the heck would I go back to Dallas for mt Dr. appointment?
Well, that leads right into part two of our news. On the heels of finding out our family is expanding we have decided as much as we "heart" NY we NEED our family and friends to get through the coming days, months & years. We don't consider the book closed on NY by any means and hope that it could be in the cards for us to live here again someday and while there are still, and always will be, things we very much dislike about Texas the presence of family and friends make it all a bit more bareable.
It's been such an adventure this year who knew you could live in 4 places, move half way across the country, have a baby, get pregnant and move back half way across the country in ONE year. Well if anyone was up for the challenge it was the roaming Maples we've never been known to sit still for too long but rest assured we are looking forward to owning a home again and settling down near friends in the wonderful suburb of Plano/Richardson, Texas. Check back in Nov. for sono pics and updates on baby. Hopefully we'll know if D's having a brother or sister by Christmas! Oh and along with this news I thought I'd share a few pics of our NY apartment. One thing we won't miss about it.....the squeaky squeaky floors and lack of light switches and lights......
The living room was one of our favorite rooms, light filled and roomy, and our stuff looked so great in there! Like I said there's lots of things we love about NY we look forward to many trips back to the city and S.I. there are so many amazing things for kids I can't wait to bring D and his sibling back here. One thing we'll miss most our new friends. We've meet some amazing people here and are going to miss them and the pizza at Cafe Milano's the most!
Coming post will include details of our move, packing, etc as well as a beautiful description of the perfect fall NY day that we experienced today picking apples with friends. It was awesome, I'm so glad we got the chance to experience that before we left NY.
